People in Aspenwood would bitch with the assymetrical nature of the mission, but that would also do alot to balance the two sides. I heartily approve!
Unfortunately, Anet have clearly not had the clairvoyance to implement this, as evidenced by the need for "spy" NPCs in AB outposts.
There's also some problem with players just leaving if they end up on the wrong side, but dishonor may curb that enough.

Hey everyone,
Yes the details of the developer update notes are correct and this update is going to go live a little bit later today.
The ladder reset is going to happen very soon and the rest will consist in an in-game update being pushed a bit later, as soon as the Live Team have pushed the bits into the tubes with their hands ^^

I agree, don't like that urania. But read the whole notes. They are also readjusting the points from the title (both earned and future) just like they did when they changed the win streak requirement from 10 consecutive to 5.
I does make it a grindy-ish title (though I think I'll be playing a lot more RA for the next few weeks regardless). Granted, I said the same thing when they changed it to 5, and eventually got used to it.
Also, since the notes read "May 2011 update" well... it's June. So these updates, quite literally should have been up yesterday. Edit: Ninja'ed by Stephane, my main point was the update must be coming very soon. Stephane, while we have you here, maybe get somebody change the typo with the month.

Wow, looks interesting.
Strongboxes in GvG? I see some match manipulation on the horizon.

Have you guys considered reverting the -25 faction penalty for forfeiting an AT? That's the easiest way to get guilds low enough rating to sync with impunity.

While I assume they can go in the HoM, there's nothing that says that they actually can. Perhaps they won't. Have to wait until someone gets one to find out. But I'd still bet on them being able to haha.

For a casual PvPer like me, I find this update to be EXCELLENT.
FINALLY a fair way to get glad points. The 5-wins streak didn't work for a random format.
FINALLY an improvement to AB's rewards and accessibility. Looking forward to playing it again.
And extra pvp rewards overall?
Excellent.

I'm not a PvPer, played GW for nearly 6 years and didn't do much more than the occational AB. Well embrace yourself, a lot of PvP nubs like me might enter the scene. We might not beat you one to one, but we come in large numbers to overwhelm your strategies with our unorthodox "what's this button?" tactics

So tell me (the live team, that is, because i really feel like murdering someone atm), what's the reason for:
1)removing TA saying its broken and too hard to gain points.
2)keep the same title for RA, that was always a completely and incomaribly worse than TA, skill wise and player wise.
3)BUFF this title for RA, that has been known to be abused by synchers for easy farm.
4)BUFF a title that used to be 1 point per 10 WINS. yes, that is correct, 10 wins. Perhaps you weren't at Anet yet even at the time that was the case.
5)thus BUFF an arena that does not really qualify as random, and barely qualifies as pvp (because one's success isnt determined as much by how good you play, but mostly by how lucky you are or how much you abuse it).
Because helpless crowds cried for a recycled version of cheap ass HA title?
Because you believe this will fix synching? (leaving after each match doesn't really beat whooping every single team with 3 other synched/good mates, sorry)
So do help me understand this mockery and trampling on the little that was left of the "good old days" in an otherwise brilliant update.
